Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Hey guys!

Today I will be reviewing the  Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief moisturizer. I had been eyeing up this moisturizer for a fair amount of time but I always found it quite expensive. But.. about two weeks ago I finally purchased it! It was on sale and I had some coupons laying around so I thought why not and went and got it.

I think I've been testing out this product for, I would say, the last two weeks and I must say I quite like it. The Clinique moisturizer is advertised as a 'rapid, long-lasting hydration in a refreshing oil-free gel' which is suitable for all skintypes. You can use it whenever, wherever, under and over makeup or as a 5-minute moisture mask. I personally find this product a bit too expensive to use a mask, seeing how I like to really slather it on when I use a mask. Although I did try applying this over my makeup, under my eye area, I didn't really see or feel much of a difference. It gave a slight glow and felt a bit more hydrated but nothing special, but it also doesn't mess up your makeup. So you could use it over your makeup but for me it didn't really do anything.

I find that it gives good moisture that indeed stays all day, but I don't feel like it's doing something special or anything. You can find a lot of good moisturizers that are a lot cheaper and basically give the same result. I've also got slight acne, it used to be way worse but it's clearing up, and I do really like this moisturizer for that. It doesn't break me out, it doesn't make my skin oilier and I do kinda feel like it evens out my skintone. It's doesn't make my acne better but it defenitely isn't making it worse.

All in all, I like this moisturizer but I don't know if it's worth the money. Here it is priced at 20 euros for 30 ml/ 1 fluid ounce of product, which is pretty pricey. I do recommend it, but only if you are willing to spend the money, because there are enough cheaper alternatives.

In the Netherlands you can purchase this at the Douglas or ICI Paris XL, for 20 euros per 30 ml/ 1 fl. oz.

Thank you so much for reading and I will see you in my next post!
